The museum on Steintorplatz, one of Europe's leading design museums, is celebrating the joy of the material, which symbolises the attitude to life of a diverse society and a symbol of belonging and welcome. Visitors can explore the topic through around 40 international art and design positions and also get active themselves in the D.I.Y. space.

hella Hamburg Half Marathon

The 31st hella Hamburg Half Marathon will once again take runners across the city centre of Hamburg in 2025. Over a distance of 21.0975 kilometres, they will put their running talent to the test. The starting shot will be fired this year on 29 June 2025. After new participation records have been set again and again in recent years, many athletes are expected to start again in 2025.

Summer Dome

The DOM is a piece of Hamburg tradition and is a guarantee for fun, games, thrills and nostalgia. The term goes back to a collection of traders, craftsmen and jugglers who - after some friction - were granted the right to stay in St Mary's Cathedral during ‘bad weather’ in 1337. At the end of the 19th century, the showmen found their ‘new home’ on the Heiligengeistfeld.

Christopher Street Day

The spectacular parade through the city center with over 15,000 participants is the highlight of PRIDE WEEK and attracts thousands of people along the route. 24h sailing regatta

The first weekend in August is traditionally the time for 24 hours of sailing on the Alster! At the big ASV summer event on the Outer Alster, up to 30 dinghies sail for a whole day and a whole night. A great event, not only for the participants, but also for all onlookers from ashore.

MS Dockville
