Harbour Tour Abicht
© ThisIsJulia Photography

A magical mix of wanderlust, adventure and freedom. The harbour tour takes in the Landungsbrücken jetties, originally built for steam ships, and passes veteran vessels such as the 'Rickmer Rickmers' before motoring through the warehouse district to the modern port in use today. Subject to tides/water level. Witness the activity of this hard-working port at close quarters – some 140 million tonnes of goods are transshipped here each year – and see the human, industrious, creative and cultural sides of the vibrant Hamburg quayside.

Elbphilharmonie Plaza Hamburg
© Jörg Modrow

The Elbphilharmonie Plaza serves as the junction between the old harbour warehouse and the modern glass structure above it. Located at a height of 37 metres above ground level, this public viewing platform is open to everyone and offers a breathtaking 360° view of the city and the harbour. The Plaza is open to everyone – not just concertgoers and hotel guests. You are welcome to come up and enjoy the fantastic view, discover more about the architecture or meet friends for coffee and a snack – from 09:00 to 24:00 daily.

In the interior area of the Plaza you will find stairways and lifts to the concert halls, the takeaway café »Deck & Deli«, and the lobby of »The Westin Hamburg« hotel. Information on the Elbphilharmonie, books, CDs and souvenirs are for sale in the Elbphilharmonie Shop. Visitors can walk all the way around the Elbphilharmonie on the outer Plaza.

Access to the Elbphilharmonie Plaza

It is possible to visit the Elbphilharmonie Plaza free of charge. However you have to get a free ticket which is only available on the same day and at the Elbphilharmonie visitor center (Kaiserkai 62) or at the Plaza ticket machines. As the number of visitors to the plaza is limited, long waiting times may occur, especially on weekends. With our day ticket, you have guaranteed unique access without having to decide for a certain time in advance.
