In the Höhbeck settlement, young city dwellers wanted to put romantic life goals such as community, self-determined work and freedom into practice (1914 - 1922). The Schwedenschanze inn was also one of the settler houses. Emmi Ziegler, founder and wandering bird, was one of the first settlers. Others followed and realized what they longed for, “a home and their own land”.

But what happened to the settlers? Walk in the footsteps of the settlers with Emmi's granddaughter!
