QueerHistoryMonth | Offene Geschichtswerkstatt Queere Geschichte
- Workshops
On the occasion of the first Hamburg QueerHistoryMonth, the Hamburg performance, film and media artist Simon Schultz is organizing an open history workshop in collaboration with Kampnagel.
Over Sunday coffee, participants talk about the queer history that is connected to the Hanseatic city and to us as its residents: Which queer pioneers have worked here? Which alliances were forged here? What surprising stories of love and friendship can we gather? The cake-filled storytelling café invites you to record personal stories and memories all day long. An oral history workshop writes the oral history of the city.
Books, journals, photo albums and magazines are available to read in the spontaneous collective library. Publications, photos and objects and their stories, especially from the 1970s and 1980s, are welcome as VIP guests.
At the zine workshop in cooperation with Risofort, new and handy graphic forms for distributed knowledge about queer pasts and futures will be found.
In the evening, the No Talent Show with drag and travesty imitation concludes the program. Spontaneous contributions are very welcome.
During QueerHistoryMonth, various Hamburg LGBTIQ* projects and cultural institutions, museums, archives and individuals offer a wide range of events. The QHM is a collaborative project of Hamburg's queer community that aims to promote the discussion of historical and current queer topics.
