Brauhaus Johann Albrecht

Traditional Brauhaus Johann Albrecht close to Jungfernstieg serving speciality beers brewed on-site.

The brewery behind the Rathaus [Town Hall] beside the Adolphsbrücke bridge is a great meeting point for everyone and anyone. Families, couples, big groups, business lunches or foot-weary shoppers - this brewery really offers something for everyone.

The atmosphere is refined and slightly gentrified - right in the heart of the Alsterfleete district. The home-made beers are brewed directly before the gaze of the guests. Two huge copper-coloured vessels are located behind the bar counters of the brewery. Guests are free to put questions to the Master Brewer. He is always pleased to interrupt what he is doing to explain his craft to visitors. In the kitchen, powerful but not overly substantial dishes are produced to complement the beers.  On Sundays, a sumptuous brunch is served for those who appreciate large portions. At lunchtime, dishes are available in smaller portions, and at lower prices.
