Leche de Tigre

Hamburg's cuisine is becoming as diverse as its citizens, who are forming the special character of the city. At Leche de Tigre northern gourmets will find an exotic interpretation of maritime delicacies and many more exiting delights from Peru.

"La vida peruana" has made its way into the city of Hamburg. You can find it at Leche de Tigre in Hamburg's trend neighborhood Ottensen. This Cevicheria only opened its doors in September 2016. Not even half a year later, you have to make a reservation two weeks in advance to get a table! And there are many good reasons for that:

High cuisine and exoticism

The place owned by Xavier Lopez and Aurelio Moreno combines high cuisine and exoticism with a warm character and individual personality like no other Latin American restaurant in Hamburg.

Next to Ceviche served with scallops, codfish or salmon the menu offers crunchy yucca-fries, grilled calamari or the Peruvian specialty grilled beef heart, originally called "Anticuchos".   Those who are into this kind of tasty adventure shouldn’t hesitate long since even the seats at the bar are very popular among customers. Also the drinks at this place are highly recommendable. You should try the classical Pisco Sour – nowhere in the city this drink is as sparkling and tart as here in the Nernstweg. Who prefers his drink a little lighter should order a homemade Chicha Morada! This non-alcoholic drink based on purple corn tastes exactly like Peru!

¡Buen provecho!

In the buzzing crowd, that is present on weekends as well as during the week, locals, tourists and Latinos feel at home at Leche de Tigre. By this, there is only one thing left to say: ¡Buen provecho!
