Different cultures lived side by side and with each other in Ukraine for a long time. Yiddish culture also flourished there and cross-fertilized with other cultures. The songs and dances in this program bear witness to this. A Mekhaye highlights the beautiful music of Ukraine: almost forgotten klezmer melodies, folk songs and love songs full of joy, melancholy, esprit and fighting spirit. The ensemble feels connected to Ukraine due to singer Anna Vishnevska's Ukrainian origins. With the idea of supporting Ukraine and the people there, the four Hamburg musicians create a special musical atmosphere that has never been heard before.
An event organized by the Friends of the Museum for Bergedorf and the Vierlande eV. Admission tickets are available at the castle during the museum's opening hours or at: vorverkauf-schloss@t-online.de
