My favorite band from Denmark - Aarhus, performs and brings cool vibes to Soderstorf with their distinctive sound.
A tactile sound of open, dry grooves, crackling organ and crisp twang
and the signature double lead vocals. Stories from the road, flawed love and that
Moonlights are the focus of the songs.
Many are best known for their collaborations with artists such as Howe Gelb and Mark
Lanegan, M. Ward, Nive Nielsen, Isobel Campbell, Jason Lytle and Danish legend CV
Jørgensen and many others found their form in 2003's Giant Sand
released their first album “EliteContinentalCustomClub” in 2007 with three more
Since then, several albums have been released on Glitterhouse Records.
Recently the DeSoto Caucus toured the UK while working with M. Ward
about new material. Meanwhile a vinyl re-release of the debut album + other things
Gems from the vault are in preparation.
In 2024 the band will work with Howe Gelb again and there will be live shows
announced soon.
