The WIR Forum in Hamburg is a meeting and communication platform for everyone who is involved in helping refugees, for tolerance, for integration and solidarity in Hamburg.
The forum serves to provide information, discussion and networking for the commitment in Hamburg. The focus is on the topics that are currently of particular importance and important to the participants, such as coexistence in the neighborhoods, challenges in supporting refugees and those seeking protection or the special role of sport as a driver of integration.
The event will open with a welcoming speech by Hamburg's First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher and a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Naika Foroutan (German Center for Integration and Migration Research).
