Some music is there to sing along loudly, others to let your emotions run free at the end of a long day - and still others to let your thoughts run free and refocus on the big picture. The Australian sibling duo Angus & Julia Stone have been providing material for the latter for almost 20 years, releasing songs that resemble a musical view across the vastness of the sea.
The hit »Big Jet Plane« stormed the charts worldwide - a song that also found its way into pop culture with its great popularity and was used in the soundtrack of the series »Suits« or »One Tree Hill«, among others. Angus & Julia Stone’s patent recipe has been right from the start: Songs that pick you up exactly where you are with your everyday sensitivities and transport their listeners into a reflective, grounding parallel world.
