Creatively Solving Stress

Creative Self-Care for Adults

An introductory evening for creative self-care and creative therapeutic coaching.

Open Studio means: The door is open. For adults of any age and gender.

For people who feel stressed or stuck.
For people who think a lot.
For people who want to give themselves a little more space again.
And equally for those who are simply curious about what happens when they encounter a personal theme not just with words.

You do not need to be able to paint or draw. You do not need any creative experience and do not have to claim to be "a creative person."

On this evening, you will get to know creative self-care in a very practical way. Together, we will carry out two simple, guided creatively therapeutic exercises: one with pen and paper and one with color and brush. It is not about producing a beautiful picture, learning a specific technique, or doing something "correctly." The focus is on the process.

  • What happens when you stop thinking about a topic for a moment and instead start to create with it?
  • What thoughts come up?
  • What suddenly becomes clearer?
  • What feels easy, what feels resistant?
  • And what might you discover about what is currently occupying or stressing you?

Creative work opens a different access than mere conversation. Thoughts and feelings do not have to be perfectly formulated first. They can initially find expression through lines, shapes, colors, words, or materials and then be viewed and reflected upon together.

SOLVING STRESS CREATIVELY Especially with the topic of stress, this can be exciting:

  • Not only "How do I become more relaxed?" but also
  • "What actually pressures me?",
  • "What do I need right now?" or
  • "What needs to change so that my everyday life fits me better again?"

The exercises of the evening are intentionally kept simple. There is no evaluation and no comparison. You decide for yourself what you create, what you want to share about your work, and what remains entirely with you. This creates a protected framework in which you do not have to experience creativity as a performance, but as an opportunity to pause, to perceive yourself, to try something out, and to gain a new perspective on your own experiences.

The evening is also an invitation to rediscover creativity. Many adults have at some point stopped drawing, painting, writing, or simply allowing something to emerge playfully because something "good" suddenly had to come out of it.

It's not about being able to create art. It's about being able to use creativity for yourself. In the end, you take away not only what has been created on paper. Perhaps you also take away a new thought, a surprising insight, a bit more clarity, or an idea for what might benefit you in everyday life.

Who is the Open Studio for? For all adults who want to get to know creative self-care in a non-binding way, regardless of age, gender, or artistic experience.

You do not need a specific problem or a prepared question. You can come with a concrete personal or professional topic, with stress and tension in everyday life, or simply with the desire to take two hours consciously for yourself.
