Part one on Wednesday - January 27, 2027 (6:30 PM to 8:00 PM):
Introduction to Macro Photography:
What possibilities do my camera and accessories offer?
The use of the tripod.
Planning the photo – simply snapping away is a thing of the past!
After the initial exercises with the camera while seated, we'll move on to practical exercises. Please hold
- a tripod,
- a DSLR or system camera with a macro lens or close-up lens (alternatively a bridge camera)
- Batteries that are fully charged
- a flowering houseplant, preferably a colorful moth orchid
ready.
Homework
Different tasks are assigned, ranging from taking photos with a tripod to taking "quick shots" handheld, as well as sorting the photos and making a selection.
Part two on Wednesday - February 10, 2027 (6:30 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. depending on the number of participants):
- Focus stacking
- saving, sorting, organizing, and using the photos
- You will present a selection of your photos taken in the last week (with image review).
About the speaker:
Helge Masch ( www.helgemasch.de ) isn't a professional photographer, but a gardener, yet photography is his passion. He's been using his SLR camera since he was 16. In this course, he'll share his practical experience and inspire enthusiasm for macro photography without using a lot of technical jargon. His tip: Don't despair! If you only get ONE perfect photo from a photo shoot, you've accomplished a lot!
Please familiarize yourself with your camera and its settings outside of the automatic programs, and bring the camera's instruction manual if necessary.
