The Shogo Seifert Quartet stands for contemporary jazz with lyrical force, energetic improvisation and a clear compositional voice. German-Japanese trumpeter and composer Shogo Seifert brings together influences from modern jazz, progressive soundscapes and a chamber-music sensibility to create a sound that remains accessible while still offering surprises.
His debut album »Causes of Imagination« was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in the »Debut Album of the Year« category in 2026. The press praised its »high-quality arrangements, sophisticated sound and expressive compositions« – a quartet shaped by tension, emotion and unpredictable energy.
