The SAATSEE floating crane is a floating working device that was used to keep the Kiel Canal navigable. It was used to lift and move particularly heavy or bulky objects in, on or at the locks of the Kiel Canal, to pull dolphins or to salvage wrecks. The Saatsee was steam-powered. The technology will be demonstrated at the HAFENGEBURTSTAG HAMBURG and there will be an exhibition on board.
