What is my blood donation needed for?

Without human blood nothing runs!
Even the most perfect medical care system is not functional in severe injuries and life-threatening diseases without blood.

As amazing as it sounds:

The high demand for blood is primarily a result of medical progress. Many operations, transplants and the treatment of patients with malignant tumors have only been possible thanks to modern transfusion medicine.

Statistically, most of the blood is now needed to treat cancer patients. It is followed by disorders of the heart, stomach and intestinal diseases, sports and traffic accidents. In the case of serious accidents, there may be at least ten blood clogs per accident victim due to certain internal injuries.

GOOD TO KNOW:
A large part of the citizens are dependent on the blood of others at least once in their lives.
