With his distinctive blend of classical music, soul and contemporary influences, Alexis Ffrench is one of the most successful and influential artists of a new generation of classical musicians. The British pianist and composer presents music from his new album »24«.
Alexis Ffrench sees classical music not as a clearly defined genre, but as an open musical space. His own approach, which he calls Classical Soul, combines emotional immediacy with cinematic soundscapes and influences that reach far beyond classical music. More than one billion streams worldwide, several number-one albums and gold certification in the USA for his single »Bluebird« testify to the extraordinary reach of his work. His acclaimed performances include the Coronation Concert for King Charles III and a solo concert at Westminster Abbey in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.
His new album »24« takes centre stage in these upcoming concerts. Its 24 compositions trace the course of a full day, from early morning until night. The album was also inspired by the many messages Ffrench has received throughout his career from people whose daily lives, special moments or difficult periods have been accompanied by his music. »I wanted this album to reflect the everyday miracles in people’s lives«, he says of the idea behind the album.
