Twelve brass players, one festive evening: Salaputia Brass brings the swing of the Christmas season to the Laeiszhalle Recital Hall. The musicians of this award-winning ensemble hold solo positions in orchestras such as the Gewandhausorchester, the Bamberg Symphony, and the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra, and they combine this orchestral excellence with a love of groove. Familiar classics such as »Driving Home for Christmas«, »Let It Snow«, »White Christmas«, »Santa Claus Is Coming to Town«, and »Sleigh Ride« are performed in specially written arrangements – sometimes warm and solemn, sometimes with a jazzy flair. In between, the ensemble adds its own touches with original compositions that showcase its unmistakable sound. The brass section guides the audience through the program with charming commentary.
