MUT! Theater

The MUT! Theater in Hmaburg is located in the heart of the Schanzenviertel and is distinguished above all by its multicultural and international orientation.

You won’t find classical productions at MUT! Theater. While the small theatre does feature well-known texts by famous authors, it gives them a new interpretation. For example, in the production “Romeo and Juliet Oriental”, Shakespeare’s classic drama is staged against the backdrop of the Turkish-Kurdish conflict. In general, all projects presented at MUT! Theater revolve around multiculturalism and integration. In addition to in-house productions, audiences can also enjoy cross-genre guest performances, concerts and cabaret.

Families are welcome too: with performances for children, educational theatre projects in schools, and workshops on social issues such as diversity and migration, MUT! Theater actively reaches out to young audiences.
