ÜberQuell

Handmade craft beer, freshly baked pizza and a breathtaking view over the port of Hamburg – residents and guests come together at the ÜberQuell brewery.

This listed building is home to a brewery, restaurant and countless get-togethers. Sit in good company and enjoy a pizza and homemade beer on the terrace measuring almost 600 m2. ÜberQuell is all about transparency. As soon as you enter the building you have an unrestricted view of the kitchens and can see the pizza makers at work. The walls are adorned with numerous and varying exhibitions featuring the works of different artists in collaboration with the Millerntor Gallery. A large table in the middle can seat 40 people.

The combination is key! Experience the brewery and pizza-making up close and personal

In the microbrewery with a BrewPub attached, guests can learn all there is to know about beer. Five different types of beer are produced here on an ongoing basis, with several other beer types sold over the course of the year – each with their own incomparable flavours. You can of course try these varieties while you’re there!
And what goes best with beer? A pizza fresh from the stone oven of course – made using regional ingredients from the vegetable box scheme and a dough that has been matured for two days to give it the perfect consistency. A genuine Neapolitan experience!

For the good of the neighbourhood — an urban farming project

ÜberQuell not only supports the local and international art scene: In collaboration with the students of the Stadtteilschule am Hafen school, St. Pauli primary school and Altonaer Kinder Küche (children’s kitchen), the “Green Pauli” urban farming project was created atop the roof of the ÜberQuell brewery. This saw a garden developed at quite a height in which pupils can grow and harvest their own vegetables. This gives them an opportunity to learn important things about nutrition and the environment. The harvested vegetables are then cooked up in the school canteen and in the ÜberQuell kitchen.

Hamburg's water station. Landungsbrücken

The floating dock - called the "Landungsbrücken" (landing stages) – is 700 metres long. Harbour tours and the HADAG steamers to Finkenwerder, Oevelgönne and Blankenese leave from this water "station". Impressive luxury cruisers also dock here from time to time.
