The Kleines Hofcafé in Lokstedt proves that big city life and idyllic cosiness need not be contradictory.

A variety of cake creations, classic coffee specialities and refreshing drinks characterise the Kleines Hofcafé in Lokstedt. The combination of backyard romance and vintage design entices visitors to take a coffee break in the municipal Hofcafé. The variety of the menu is due to the symbiosis of German and French specialities.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Eimsbüttel & Eppendorf

Here, one can find magnificent old building façades, local and exquisite restaurants as well as fancy boutiques and owner-operated shops. While Eppendorf is rather fancy, one can feel the hanseatic serenity in Eimsbüttel. Both districts offer much green and water and are hence with good reason very popular neighbourhoods in Hamburg.

For the love of ice cream Luicella's Ice Cream

At Luicella's, pure joie de vivre is served in a cup. The two founders of Luicella's Ice Cream fulfilled their dream of opening their own ice cream parlor in St. Pauli in 2013 - and this dream continues to grow. Hamburg now has ten Luicella's ice cream parlors, the latest of which opened in Westfield Überseequartier in April 2025.
