The Michel offers more than just a good view

Michel is the nickname of St. Michael's Church, one of the main churches of Hamburg and one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Germany. It was originally built in the 17th century but was repeatedly destroyed by fires. Thus, the building standing today was not completed until the beginning of the 20th century. Nevertheless, it is worth seeing the interior, which is entirely decorated in white and gold and contains one of the largest organs in the German-speaking world. Organ concerts of excellent quality regularly take place here and are a must for every music lover. In any case, one should choose a concert with works by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, who also composed the festive music for the inauguration of the tower.
