With more than 100 beers, many of them international award winners, the Kehrwieder Creative Brewery is one of the jewels among Hamburg's breweries. It was founded by Olli, who even won the World Beer Sommelier Championship in 2013, and his wife Julia.

The name "Kehrwieder" is based on the wish that relatives once called out to their loved ones when they set sail. And like the luckier of the seafarers, Julia and Olli eventually returned to Hamburg after their travels around the world to brew beer here using only natural raw materials. In 2011, they finally founded the creative brewery Kehrwieder and have since been brewing craft beers that combine a very special taste experience with high drinkability.

The numerous prestigious awards that the family-owned company from the south of Hamburg has already won show how well they succeed.

Flavors from around the world, brewed in Hamburg

The fact that the beer from the creative brewery is as creative as the name suggests is due to the wanderlust of its founders, who brewed in the Caribbean, in South America, and finally in North America before returning to their home on the Elbe with all their impressions.

Kehrwieder brews its beer in a self-built brewhouse and exclusively with green electricity from Greenpeace Energy, with real craftsmanship and a lot of love.

So the next time you enjoy a bottle of Kehrwieder, remember that it has been held in hand at least seven times before it makes its way to you. Genuine craftsmanship.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Hamburg South

Around Harburg's inland harbour, historical and modern architectural styles merge. It's maybe even a bit like HafenCity. Finkenwerder, on the other hand, has the charm of a fishing village. – Here, you see a quite different, almost rural side of Hamburg. Harburg and Finkenwerder are also good starting points for discovering the Hamburg metropolitan area.
