Christmas market Niendorf Nordic Christmas market atmosphere at the Tibarg
It's getting festive in Niendorf again! The pedestrian area from Tibarg centre to Tibarg south is once again transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland.
The many small wooden houses, mostly in Swedish red, the warmly lit teepees, pine decorations, little lights and tempting offers of mulled wine, chocolate, handmade accessories and much more will immediately put every visitor in a "hygge" Christmas mood. Rustic wooden huts and large tepees are lined up around the magnificent Christmas tree, which is brightly lit. The "Tibarg Centre Tipi Lounge" in these tents is the meeting place for social evenings in large groups. Fresh wood chips on the floor keep your feet warm and dry.
In the small wooden huts in the pedestrian area, various vendors sell handicrafts and other unique items.
A special highlight this year are the two selfie points where you can take creative Christmas photos. Under the Mistletoe Arch, the 'Festival of Love' will be celebrated with a kiss in the truest sense of the word, and the Christmas Forest invites children and the young at heart to pose for festive selfies with their favourite forest creatures.
On 13 December, Sesame Street's Ernie & Bert will be visiting the market and inviting you to a meet & greet at the Children's Selfie Point (middle Tibarg) every hour from 12pm to 4pm. A festive photo is guaranteed.
On the first three Saturdays of Advent, from 12 noon to 5 pm, and on 23 December from 11 am to 4 pm, there will be a Santa Claus consultation hour for children in the centre of the Tibarg.
For children wanting to make gifts for their families, there is a large craft hut with expert guidance. They can also help in the biscuit bakery at the weekend. Children are looked after free of charge during the week and at weekends, so parents can take their time to browse the Christmas market or look for presents.
