The main thing is the relationship between music and film and how the representation of music in film is becoming increasingly popular At the Unerhört! Musikfilmfestival, all types of music and film are expressly welcome. In addition, the aim of the festival is not simply to present a film program, but a holistic concept.

Review: The Unerhört! Musikfilmfestival 2019
In 2019, the jury had a particularly difficult time deciding on the winners of the festival. In first place landed the film Sovjet Hippies, a documentary about the Soviet hippie movement in the 1970s and 1980s. It it also referenced today's political situations and questioned both the hippie movement as well as the functioning of power. In the second place landed EMBRYO – A journey of Music and Peace, a look back at the 50-year history of the Musicians' collective EMBRYO, whose music was particularly based on intercultural exchange across national borders.
