Live demonstration of a pilot transfer by helicopter and pilot transfer by pilot boat aboard the "Cap San Diego." Experience firsthand on Sunday from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on the museum cargo ship "Cap San Diego" how pilots board a vessel – an indispensable contribution and integral part of safety, including in the Port of Hamburg. Together with Northern Helicopter and Flotte Hamburg (HPA), Elbe and harbor pilots will provide insights into their daily work. Whether from the air or over the water, pilots always come aboard to guide ships safely through this challenging waterway. The demonstration showcases a centuries-old and future-oriented profession combined with modern technology, making visible what usually happens behind the scenes.
