Nature Experience Days. A weekend dedicated to the world of mushrooms. (SeminarNo. 25-733)
(The seminar language is German.)
Mushrooms are true masters of transformation: born from spores smaller than a mustard seed, impressive in their magnificent fruiting bodies, and mysterious as an endless network of mycelium underground. They save lives, refine cheese, enrich cuisine, and play a hidden yet important role in the life of trees.
This weekend, we will immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of mushrooms. We will ask: What connects us humans to them? How do we unlock their culinary secrets? And can we successfully start our own mushroom culture? In addition to a guided forest tour, practical kitchen experiments, and a joint search for clues, the main focus will be on letting ourselves be inspired by the secrets of mushrooms.
Date: Fri, Oct 17, 2025 (5:00 p.m.) to Sun, Oct 19, 2025 (2:00 p.m.)
Seminar fee: $219, single room (shower/toilet on the floor)
Pedagogical responsibility/leadership: Christoph von der Ohe, EBH educator
