As GEDOK celebrates its 100th anniversary, the temporary art market ILSE MEBES opens at the GEDOK Hamburg Gallery in the House of Arts and Crafts, Koppel 66 / Lange Reihe 75. For ten days, a wide range of works by numerous Hamburg-based GEDOK artists—from drawings and prints to small sculptures—will be available for immediate purchase at affordable prices. A wonderful opportunity to acquire contemporary art by women artists.
The name of the pop-up art shop pays tribute to the artist and poet Ilse Mebes (1900–1984). She was a member of GEDOK Berlin and the great-aunt of Murte Liebenberg, who has now launched the Ilse Mebes pop-up art shop for GEDOK Hamburg.
