Creatively Solving Stress
Creative Self-Care for Adults
An introductory evening for creative self-care and creative therapeutic coaching.
Open Studio means: The door is open. For adults of all ages and genders.
For people who are currently feeling stressed or stuck.
For people who think a lot.
For people who want to give themselves a little more space again.
And just as much for those who are simply curious about what happens when they approach a personal topic not only with words.
You do not need to be able to paint or draw. You do not need any creative experience and do not have to claim to be "a creative person."
On this evening, you will get to know creative self-care very practically. Together, we will implement two simple, guided creatively therapeutic inspired exercises: one with pen and paper and one with color and brush. It's not about producing a beautiful picture, learning a specific technique, or doing something "right." The focus is on the process.
- What happens when you stop thinking about a topic for a moment and instead start creating with it?
- What thoughts come up?
- What suddenly becomes clearer?
- What feels light, and what feels resistant?
- And what might you discover about what currently occupies or pressures you?
Creative work opens a different access than mere conversation. Thoughts and feelings do not need to be perfectly formulated first. They can initially find expression through lines, shapes, colors, words, or materials and can then be viewed and reflected upon together.
CREATIVELY SOLVING STRESS Particularly with the topic of stress, this can be exciting:
- Not just "How can I relax more?" but also
- "What actually puts me under pressure?"
- "What do I need right now?" or
- "What would need to change for my everyday life to fit me better again?"
The exercises of the evening are intentionally kept simple. There is no evaluation and no comparison. You decide for yourself what you create, what you want to share about your work, and what remains entirely with you. This creates a protected framework in which you do not have to experience creativity as a performance but rather as an opportunity to pause, perceive yourself, experiment, and gain a new perspective on your own experiences.
The evening is also an invitation to rediscover creativity. Many adults have stopped drawing, painting, writing, or simply letting something evolve playfully at some point because something "good" suddenly had to come out of it.
It's not about being able to create art. It's about being able to use creativity for yourself. In the end, you take away not only what has emerged on the paper. Perhaps you will also take away a new thought, a surprising insight, a bit more clarity, or an idea about what could do you good in everyday life.
Who is the Open Studio for? For all adults who would like to get to know creative self-care casually, regardless of age, gender, or artistic experience.
You do not need a specific problem or a prepared question. You can come with a concrete personal or professional topic, with stress and tension in everyday life, or simply with the desire to take two hours of conscious time for yourself.
