Buster Keaton’s classic *Sherlock Holmes Jr.* is accompanied live on the piano by Richard Siedhoff.
In this silent film concert, children and adults alike can enjoy one of the funniest films of the silent era:
Buster, a movie projectionist, is in love. But his rival sets a trap for him, and Buster is sent away from the theater. In a dream, Buster becomes a brave master detective: Using many clever tricks, he tries to find the real thief and win the heart of his sweetheart. In reality, however, the girl solves the case all on her own.
The approximately 45-minute film is one of Buster Keaton’s funniest and most imaginative silent films. The many zany gags and impressive stunts are particularly thrilling.
The film is shown with English and German intertitles. Adults are welcome to quietly explain or whisper certain parts to the children—this is expressly permitted. This way, the screening can be enjoyed together in a lively atmosphere.
We recommend the film for children ages 8 and up and look forward to welcoming many young viewers!
