"Same Love" embarks on a dance-based search for love and belonging, inviting the audience to reflect on acceptance, tolerance, and the diversity of love. The ensemble takes the audience on a choreographic journey of discovery through public space. The piece celebrates the diversity of human experiences, questions societal prejudices and norms, and reveals the political dimension of love. It not only shows how experiences of love are painfully passed down from generation to generation, but also how our understanding of love is shaped by upbringing and societal expectations. "Same Love" is more than a spectacular dance performance – it is an emotional statement for acceptance, tolerance, and empowerment!

Muhammed Kaltuk, born in Switzerland to a conservative Turkish family, initially made a name for himself in the Swiss hip-hop scene. He discovered theater as a form of expression and, at the age of 25, began dance training at the Zurich University of the Arts for Contemporary and Urban Stage Dance. There, he combined his hip-hop background with other dance styles, developing a distinctive style that intertwines socio-critical, political, and personal themes. In 2017, he founded the company MEK, which he continues to lead. With MEK, Kaltuk has performed at renowned venues such as Tanzhaus Zürich, the Lucerne Theatre, the Theater St. Gallen, Gauthier Dance, and the Basel Ballet. Through his clear artistic vision and his ability to remain true to himself across diverse contexts, Kaltuk is considered one of the most innovative figures in the international dance scene. Starting next season, he will be the artistic director of the dance department at the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen.

Mobile presentation in a public space. The exact starting point will be announced later.
