We invite you to the 2nd concert of this year's organ cycle on January 24, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the Katharinenkirche in Großenaspe.
For this organ concert, we have invited Heiner Graßt from Essen. He spans a sacred arc from the Baroque period to the present. We also touch on two Hanseatic cities with Mr. Graßt, Lübeck and Hamburg. To start, we will hear a Passacaglia in D minor by Buxtehude, followed by a trip to Leipzig with J.S. Bach. From him, we will hear, among other works, his Passacaglia in C minor. Next, Heiner Graßt will perform two works by Mendelssohn Bartholdy. First, the Sonata in D minor "Our Father in Heaven" will be presented. The concert will conclude with works by Theodore Dubois, a French composer of the Romantic period. After that, we will hear "My Bach," an organ piece by Andreas Wilscher, a contemporary composer from Hamburg. This piece is suitable for any occasion where the audience should be amazed and delighted. A truly cheerful conclusion to this 2nd organ concert.
Have we piqued your curiosity - then come, we look forward to seeing you!
The concerts always take place with free admission. The nonprofit organization KinG - Kultur in Großenaspe e.V. appreciates any generous donations at the exit. After the concerts, you are invited to join the artists for coffee and cake in the community hall.
