Open Ship FAIRPLAY VIII (harbor tug) Celebrations

Without powerful tugboats like the FAIRPLAY VIII, built in 1962, the large ships would have had a difficult time in the port in earlier times. Take advantage of the rare opportunity during the Open Ship event for a trip on the Elbe River with this historic 600-hp tugboat and get a glimpse of how port operations were conducted in the past. The FAIRPLAY VIII is now a heritage vessel and part of the Hamburg Maritime Foundation.
