Nova Twins: On the one hand, a musically eclectic kaleidoscope of alt-rock, hip-hop, R&B, and metal; on the other, a duo formed since childhood, comprised of longtime friends Amy Love and Georgia South from southeast London. Their third studio album, "Parasites & Butterflies," was released in August 2025, on which the British duo explores themes such as empowerment, identity, and mental health. In the album track "Monsters," singer and guitarist Amy Love declares: "I'm not afraid of monsters, but I'm afraid of myself." This power, this force of nature, this talent earned Nova Twins the Mercury Prize shortlist in 2022, making them the first Black rock band in history to achieve this honor. Their second full-length album, "Supernova" (2022), also garnered them two BRIT Award nominations. Famous and avowed Nova Twins fans include Elton John and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine). In 2020, at the very beginning of their career and amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, which was fatal for newcomers, Nova Twins suddenly appeared as a prominent rap-rock feature on Bring Me The Horizon's album "Post Human: Survival Horror." The song "1x1" (feat. Nova Twins) has been streamed more than 130 million times on Spotify alone. This was just a starting point, as Nova Twins had only self-released their debut album, "Who Are The Girls?", in February of that same year. Nevertheless, the hit with Bring Me The Horizon should allow even the most obscure music fans in the most remote corners of the Western world to see and hear the undeniable potential of Nova Twins. Since their second full-length album, "Supernova," Love and South have released exclusively through the record label of the tech giant Marshall. A concentrated power of creativity and financial resources, which Nova Twins know how to leverage for their activism: They are the founders of the Creative Musicianship Scholarship, a grant that funds three years of musical training for up-and-coming artists. In 2022, they also initiated the introduction of an alternative music category at the MOBO Awards. Live, Nova Twins move mountains, creating an electrifying pull that no one can easily—or wants to—escape. They have supported music legend Lenny Kravitz and rock bands like Foo Fighters and Muse, among others. Now they return to Germany for two club shows in Essen and Hamburg in April 2026.
