Neil Young – Comes a Song Pop

Neil Young’s songs form the centrepiece of this concert-reading – performed live and sung by Ludwig Blochberger. From Navid Kermani’s story about a young family whose newborn daughter can only be lulled to sleep by Neil Young’s music, an evening of music and literature unfolds, exploring memory, lost illusions, moments of happiness and life’s big questions. In a carefully abridged version, the actor combines Kermani’s text with songs that are far more than mere musical interludes: they pick up on themes, carry moods forward and lend the narrative its own momentum. The result is not a recital interspersed with readings, but a dense interplay of literature and concert – personal, focused and with a powerful musical presence.

Please note: The event will be held in German.
