Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Day is the state’s largest festival and showcases the diversity, culture, and zest for life of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Over the course of several days, the host city of Ludwigslust is transformed into a vibrant world of experiences with a varied program for visitors of all ages.
Cities, counties, municipalities, clubs, associations, companies, and institutions introduce themselves along numerous themed avenues. Here, guests can discover regional specialties, learn about exciting projects, and strike up conversations with the people who shape Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Musical highlights on multiple stages provide top-notch entertainment—from live concerts and dance and show programs to performances by regional artists. Families can look forward to a diverse children’s program featuring hands-on activities, play and adventure areas, and creative workshops.
The state festival also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: regional specialties, traditional dishes, and modern creations invite visitors to indulge. Sports clubs and organizations showcase their activities through demonstrations and hands-on opportunities, while fire departments, aid organizations, and volunteer initiatives present their important work.
