Alsterdorf celebrates Thanksgiving. The traditional potato feast organized by the Evangelische Stiftung Alsterdorf invites you to explore, play, and feast.
The potato feast begins with the Thanksgiving service at 11:00 a.m. in the open air on the market square. The service, which includes Holy Communion, will be supported by an induction loop for the hearing-impaired, so that the spoken word can be heard directly through their hearing aids or implants.
There's plenty on offer for the potato feast: First and foremost, the straw bale castle is THE place for rascals of all ages to really let off steam. For quieter moments, there are also craft opportunities – for example, in the cultural kitchen with mini-seitz.
The herbal fairy and the barrel organ player will transport you to another time. And with a more relaxed atmosphere, you can focus on what really matters: food.
The potato feast is accompanied by all sorts of potato delicacies. Along with it, there's venison bratwurst or pumpkin soup, served by Haus 5 or Wildglück. Waffles, of course, are also a must.
The potato feast is supported by Hamburg Airport, which will be on site with a photo booth. Come to the Alsterdorf Market for autumnal moments and capture them in a photo with your loved ones.
