Where do we feel safe and at home? In a friendly pub? In the arms of a beloved person? Or when we are sure that fourteen angels watch our sleep? Safety is a transient feeling- yet it can defy the fears and dangers of the world.
This program combines sacred and secular a-cappella-music from renaissance times to the 21st century, among them works by Guerrero, Byrd, Brahms, Rheinberger und the Harburg church musician Rainer Theodor Schmitz. Short announcements in German will give some information on the pieces.
"Der Kleine Catchclub" is an a cappella-sextett from Hamburg. English baroque canons - catches - lighten up our rehearsals and performances. Hence our name.
