When does a band achieve cult status? After around 20 years of working and networking in the city, Herrenmagazin is a cult band in Hamburg at any rate – despite, or perhaps because of, a 10-year break in releasing new material. On their album »Du hast hier nichts verloren« (You have no business here), released in April 2025, the four-piece band has evolved while remaining true to itself: handmade indie rock, lots of guitar, a pinch of punk and lyrics featuring puns, depth and a touch of rebellion.
