During the free guided tour, the project team will provide insights into the exhibition "Democracy on the Ground: Personal Memories of Hamburg Residents from the GDR" and will be available for questions and discussions afterward. The exhibition focuses on the personal memories of Hamburg residents from the GDR. At interactive listening stations, visitors can discover the stories of contemporary witnesses and their memories of places in the Hanseatic city. Topics such as freedom, arrival in a new society, and the challenges of experiencing dictatorship will be addressed, offering space for reflection and dialogue.
