Fabrik Studio is excited to present the work of our current Artist-in-Residence, Mugdha Martin, under the mentorship of Sabela García Cuesta.
Mugdha, a talented artist from India, spends six months each year in her homeland and six months in Hamburg. She is a graduate in art and has spent her life creating, leading workshops, and developing her craft on a small scale. Now, she is taking the leap onto large canvases, dedicating her Open Studio to a colorful series of cats inspired by Indian folk art.

-Saturday, Sept 6: 12:00–18:00 (India Culture Fest in the courtyard)

Saturday Special – India Culture Fest
On Saturday, Mugdha will bring not only her art but also a piece of her homeland to Hamburg. Together with Gala Gurus, independent organizers of Indian cultural events, we will transform the courtyard into a colorful festival featuring:
- Authentic Indian street food
- Henna tattoos
- Traditional jewelry & clothing
- Live music
Mugdha is proud of her roots and loves creating bridges between cultures. This festival is her invitation to experience the richness of India alongside her art.
