British artist Faith Hesselmann lives and works in Hamburg and paints primarily in acrylic media. Her works are a tribute to the healing power of nature; to its ability to nourish, revitalize, and connect us with our authentic selves. With bold colours, expressive brushstrokes, and dynamic forms, richly textured surfaces lend her work a palpable presence. She invites viewers to immerse themselves in the landscape and develop their own relationship with the depicted scenery.
Her paintings are less geographical scenes than emotional maps: an attempt to chart the shifting terrain of memory and identity. Each image reflects a geography of the Self, shaped by places from past and present, and those that exist only in feeling.
