Exactly ten years ago, Ensemble Resonanz inaugurated this hall – and has since filled it with concerts, encounters and artistic experiments as the Elbphilharmonie’s resident ensemble. Ten years are long enough for music to leave its mark. With a programme that is a »best of, but different«, the musicians invite the audience to a birthday celebration in the Recital Hall.
The journey has been wild, colourful, surprising and deeply musical – and that is exactly how Ensemble Resonanz chooses to celebrate: with the Elbphilharmonie, with the city and with its audience. For the anniversary, the musicians revisit some of their signature pieces, joined by distinguished artistic collaborators Charly Hübner, Hêja Netirk and Kalle Kalima.
The ensemble’s home is the »resonanzraum« in St. Pauli, while its second home is the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall. Renowned for its exceptional vitality and artistic excellence, Ensemble Resonanz is regarded as one of the world’s leading chamber orchestras. Through innovative programmes, its musicians build bridges between tradition and the present day.
