A Summer Night - A play with music
A wine bar in Edinburgh. Helena, a successful divorce lawyer, is just being stood up again by her married lover; Bob, an inconspicuous petty criminal, is waiting for his next assignment. They're both in their mid-30s and it seems life and this night don't have much in store for them anymore - so they plunge into a drunken one night stand.
After the rather disappointing result, she sends him into the night. Actually end of story. If they didn't meet again by chance the next day An afternoon together turns into a long, weirdly magical Midsummer night in which they smash £15,000 on the head, drink, spill, hand out and dream gallons of alcohol on the streets of Edinburgh. And maybe it's also the beginning of a love story. Self-ironic, fast-paced and emotional.
Loud and quiet, a rollercoaster of emotions, full of humor and social differences.
