Free from performance pressure, people of all ages—children, teenagers, and anyone who enjoys running—can try out different distances at the Alstertal Run organized by the Association for the Promotion of Youth Athletics in Hamburg. Children and beginner runners can start with the 1.5-kilometer trial run, while more advanced and experienced runners can choose distances of 4, 10, and 21.0975 kilometers. For the youngest participants, there is a 400-meter “Bambini” run.
