Costantini: From Picasso to Cocteau – Glass Art from Master Hand Exhibition

Some of the greatest artists of the 20th century, such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Fernand Léger, Marc Chagall, Jean Arp, Jean Cocteau, Max Ernst, Roberto Matta, and Paul Jenkins, created extraordinary glass sculptures in collaboration with the Venetian glass master Egidio Costantini. Costantini sought to elevate the craft of glassblowing to the same level as sculpture and, from the 1950s onward, collaborated with many of the most famous painters of his time, transforming their designs into superlative works of glass art.
