On 25 July 2025, Hamburg indie rock band Cirkle TwentyTwo will take to the stage at Prismeo LAB for a very special occasion: not only will this be their first ever public performance in HafenCity, it will also be the release party for their first EP!

Who are Cirkle TwentyTwo?

Founded in late 2022, things got serious in May 2024 when they released their first single, ‘Last Call for a Burning Star,’ a unique blend of indie vibes, profound lyrics and genuine Hamburg attitude. Inspired by the phenomenon known as ‘parhelion’, also known as ‘sundog’, the band led by songwriter Lars Kanyarukiga creates authentic songs about love, self-doubt and the power of connection.

Who is behind the music?

* Peer F. Stolle on drums ensures that every beat hits the heart with his passion and drive.

* Niels Thode on bass delivers funky, Nordic-cool grooves that give the songs that special something and thrill every audience.

* Lars Kanyarukiga on guitar and vocals, teacher and therapist in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, captures the stories that life writes – with all its ups and downs – with his unmistakable voice and moving lyrics.

What can you expect?

Experience songs like ‘Excuse Me, Miss!’ and ‘Worst Enemy’ up close. Songs about honest self-reflection, complicated love and the connecting power of music. Songs that are authentic and come straight from the heart. Be there when Cirkle TwentyTwo welcomes you into their circle, where no one is alone and anything seems possible!
