*** Blurred Edges concert and party ***
The concert series Cinéma Sonore brings to life masterpieces of the silent film era alongside live experimental performances as a hybrid, cross-media art experience, reinterpreting early visual narratives through contemporary sound languages to discover new meanings and associations.
Musicians Naama Freedman (voice, synths), G E K (guitar, FX), and Fanis Gioles (objects, FX) will play a live score to the Belgian avant-garde film Histoire de Détective (dir. Charles Dekeukeleire, 1929). As regular fixtures in the Hamburg music scene, the trio joins hands once again after an enchanting performance for Cinéma Sonore at the Malersaal, where they scored the German expressionist film classic Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari.
