Witty dialogue, quirky characters, and the zany energy of American screwball comedies: From May 20 to 30, the Hamburg Players present “A Fox on the Fairway,” a fast-paced farce by American playwright Ken Ludwig, at the Theater an der Marschnerstraße.
Every year the Quail Valley Country Club takes on their rival, Crouching Squirrel, in a tournament – but this year, there is more at stake than just the trophy. Henry Bingham bets his life savings and his wife’s antique shop against his rival Dickie. Luckily, he can rely on his new assistant Justin, a golf prodigy, to win the day. But when Justin finds out his fiancée Louise has accidentally flushed his grandmother’s wedding ring down the toilet, his game falls apart. Will the frantic attempts to keep him focused save the day? Will Dickie keep the trophy? Or does Quail Valley have a secret weapon to outfox him?
