They are superb pianists and have prevailed against strong competition in the preliminary round: at the final of the Steinway Piano Competition, the best young pianists from Germany will showcase their skills on stage in the Grand Hall of the Laeiszhalle. In a varied concert programme, the finalists will demonstrate the full range and expressiveness of their musical talent.
Since 1937, Steinway & Sons has been offering children and young people an internationally renowned platform through its Piano Competition to discover and nurture exceptional talent. For many young pianists, the competition is an important step on their musical journey.
And the audience has a say too: in addition to the jury’s awards, an audience prize will be presented during the final. Concert-goers can cast their vote and thus decide for themselves which young pianist has particularly impressed them that evening.
