Landhaus Scherrer

Norddeutsche Spitzenküche mit Michelin‑Stern

Traditional gourmet restaurant on Elbchaussee with a Michelin star. Classic, elegant ambience and high-quality North German cuisine.

Culinary delights meet history

A place where time stands still: Landhaus Scherrer combines North German tradition with Michelin-starred gourmet cuisine. The restaurant has held a Michelin star since 1978 – and at times even two. Head chef Heinz Otto Wehmann consistently uses regional, often certified organic ingredients, prepared with artisanal precision.

Elegant ambience with personality

The restaurant is located in a historic building dating from 1840, once a tavern for carters. Today, it offers a stylish country house ambience with wood panelling, antique paintings and a peaceful atmosphere. The service is attentive and warm – personal, but never stiff.

Cuisine with character

Culinary highlights include classics such as the Vierländer duck, carved at the table, or the fried sole with celery and Belper Knolle cheese. Modern, vegan creations such as vegetable ceviche or kale ravioli complement the menu in a sophisticated way – a successful combination of tradition and zeitgeist.

Wine cellar and wine shop

Over 10,000 bottles are stored in the in-house wine cellar – a paradise for lovers of fine wines. The wine shop next to the restaurant invites you to discover and enjoy – perfect for an aperitif or a glass with your meal.

Suitable for many occasions

Whether it's a candlelit dinner, family celebration or business lunch, Landhaus Scherrer is the right choice for many occasions. The well-tended garden, warm lighting and quiet proximity to the Elbe river create a welcoming, special atmosphere.
